LIS Library

The library is centrally located in the middle of the first floor in room 112. Both primary and secondary materials are housed here. The library is open from 8:30 to 17:00 on school days.

Primary and secondary non-fiction materials are shelved in separate sections according to their Dewey Decimal classification number. Fiction book are divided into sections for picture books, easy readers, easy chapter books, middle fiction and secondary fiction. The loan period is for two-weeks.

The library has approximately 10,000 items. The majority are in English, about 1,000 in German, and a few in other Mother Tongue languages.

A collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries and other reference books are available for use in the library.  Some encyclopedia sets are available for check-out.

There are 8 computers in the library with access to the student network, the internet and several Windows programs like Microsoft Office.

The school subscribes to an online database package from EBSCOhost.  It can be accessed at from school or home at http://search.ebscohost.com

The Library uses Dantek Library Solutions for its catalog and circulation systems.  A public-access catalog is available at http://lisweb.dantekhosting.dk
