English is the language of instruction at the school and all students and teachers are expected to speak English to the best of their ability while they are in the classroom.
In the Lower Secondary section (Grades 6-8) students can receive 6-8 periods of ESL per week. The ESL programme is co-ordinated by a designated ESL specialist teacher.
In Grade 9 and 10 non-fluent English speakers are prepared for the Core Level of First Language English and receive additional speaking and listening practice. Fluent English speakers are prepared for the Extended Level of First Language English.
In Grade 11 and 12 non-fluent English speakers are prepared for the English A2 Standard Level examination and receive 6 periods a week rather than 4 periods that are usually allotted to Standard Level courses.
