Structure

The structure of the school and the curriculum followed in the Primary School are designed to allow all children to reach their full potential. Students thrive when their best efforts are appreciated and celebrated. They grow in confidence, independence and positive self-esteem and feel ready to attempt new and challenging tasks without the fear of failure or retribution.

The school day in Primary School begins at 08:30 and ends at 15:00; however, on Wednesdays, formal learning will end at 14:30 so that teachers may attend meetings.

There are two breaks during the day; a 35-minute snack and outside playtime in the morning and a 45-minute lunch break at midday. Hort (before and after-school supervision) is currently offered to all primary school children. It is available in the mornings from 08:00–08:25 and in the afternoons from 15:00–17:00; on Wednesdays, Afternoon Hort will be available starting at 14:30.
